Frequently Asked Questions
How do I submit a Listing? First you will need to register, click on the Submit Listing link in the Menu to the Left of the page, then fill in the form.
You will receive an email with your login details and a link to confirm your email address, please click on this link to confirm your registered email address. Once you have confirmed your email address you will be able to log in and submit a listing.
You will need to enter the following information:- select your membership level select the categories you wish to be listed in enter your Listing Title - you cannot use your website address as your Listing Title, if you do your listing will be rejected. enter your short description - this appears in the Category lists with the link to your listing enter your description using the easy editor enter your Address select your Location enter your Postal or Zip Code Then click on Submit.
Your listing will then be reviewed by an Editor and when approved will be included in the Directory.
Why do I have to wait until my listing is approved before I can see it in the directory? All listing submissions are manually checked prior to appearing in our Directory, this is to prevent inappropriate entries finding their way into the Directory and abuse of our Terms of Use.
How long does the Listing last? All directory listings are valid for a year.
Can I make changes to my Listing? Yes you can make changes to your listing at any time.
How do I make changes to my Listing? You need to login in using the Login and Password you created when you first submitted your listing to the directory. Then you can alter any details you wish.
Can I have a Free listing? Yes Free listings are available in the Directory but they have limited features available for use or require a Reciprocal Link. To make the most of the Lancashire Links Directory we would recommend that you upgrade to our feature packed Premium listing which is only £14.95 a year and does not require a reciprocal link.
Can I add links to my site? Yes you can currently add a link to your website at all membership levels, but please do not add website links, email addresses or telephone numbers in the title, address or description fields.
I have lost my login/password how can I find it again? We do not keep records of your Login or Password, if you lose your login or password you will need to follow this simple procedure:
On every page of the directory is a Login Now panel to the left of the page, you will find a Password Reminder link at the bottom of this panel, simply click on this then follow the instructions to get your password reset and a new password will be sent to your registered email address.
How many categories can I be listed in? This will depend on the membership level you choose, you can be listed in up to 10 categories.
Do you pass on my details to anybody else? We do not sell, lease, lend or release any details to any other person or company about anyone listed in our directory.
Can you add a new category for me? No I am sorry we can not add categories by request. We have tried to include a broad range of categories, which we hope will suit most people.
Can I add more than one listing? You can only have one Free Listing, but you can have as many paid listings as you wish.
I am trying to submit a listing but do not have a login or password You created you user login and password yourself when you registered, if you have lost them please use the Password Reminder.
Do you provide technical support? We do not provide technical support for Free listings. If you have a current Premium or PremiumPlus membership and are experiencing difficulties which you cannot resolve using Frequently Asked Questions please use the Helpdesk where you can raise a ticket with details of your problem, remember to include the Listing Title and the registered email address for your listing.
Why has my listing been removed? Occasionally we have the mis-fortune of having to deal with abusive or aggressive persons. We have a zero tolerance policy and reserve the right to remove offenders without refund.
